Me and my husband have suffered a foreclosure almost 5 years ago and other blemishes on our credit. The house we want to buy is in a USDA area but needs repairs like paint and flooring. Would we have a chance with 10% down.

As long as the foreclosure did not occur in the past three years, if you have re-established credit with a score of at least 640 and meet the income qualifications you could be approved.
For the repairs, cosmetic things will not be a problem but anything that affects the safety and livability of the home will have to be repaired before approval.
